Domestic enterprises to supply pipelines for Uzbek gas chemical complex

A contract is being drawn up with domestic enterprises for the supply of pipeline products as part of the modernization of a gas purification unit using zeolite at headworks of Shurtan gas chemical complex in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

In accordance with the resolution of the president of Uzbekistan on measures to implement the investment program of Uzbekistan for 2021–2023, Uzbekneftegaz is implementing an investment project worth $15.25 million on modernization of a gas purification unit using zeolite at the Shurtan headworks.

The project provides for the modernization of treatment facilities using outdated zeolite, its replacement with new modern technological equipment, which will allow cleaning 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year from sulfur compounds and improve its quality.

Within the framework of the contracts, for the implementation of the import purchase project, high-temperature ball valves manufactured by the German company Borsig ValveTech GmbH were supplied, the installation of which has now been completed.

At the same time, work is underway to supply ball valves and gate valves manufactured at the Chinese plant HUA YING VALVE CO. LTD. for the commissioning of the fifth notosis gas separator unit.

It was noted that domestic contracts have been concluded with such enterprises and factories as Bars-CCC, ProfInpex, Uzelektroapparat-Electroshield, Uzbekkhimmash Zavodi, SITAN, which produce joint heat exchange equipment, furnace internal parts, crude gas separator, condenser electrical equipment, automated control system equipment, measuring and automatic devices.

Currently, a contract is being drawn up with domestic enterprises for the supply of pipeline products within the framework of the project. The assembly of high-temperature ball valves supplied by the Czech company was completed and zeolite blocks were put into operation.

To date, Mubarekneftegazmontazh LLC, the general contractor, has completed 73 percent of construction work. Construction and installation work is scheduled to be completed in November this year.
