More than 840 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated by the thermal power plants in the East Azerbaijan Province (north-western Iran) in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, electricity was generated by Iran's Tabriz, Sahand and Sufian thermal power plants.
So, 420 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated by Tabriz TPP, 379 million kilowatt-hours – by Sahand TPP and 40.5 million kilowatt-hours – by Sufian TPP, the report said.
“A total of 1.77 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated by thermal power plants in the East Azerbaijan Province during the first 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021),” the report said.
According to the report, necessary repair work has been carried out at thermal power plants in Iran's East Azerbaijan Province for electricity consumption in the peak period in summer.
