Turkmenistan will start supplying electricity to Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the president of Kyrgyzstan.
The delivery will be carried out in the autumn-winter period.
The corresponding agreement was reached during the meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, carried out within the framework of Zhaparov's official visit to Turkmenistan.
As reported, during president’s visit the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs have signed contracts for the supply of Turkmen products to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of more than $28.6 million.
Some 13 of the signed contracts are for the supply of sanitary and faience products, pipe products, tomatoes, confectionery, as well as protocols of intent for the supply of shoes and food products.
As reported, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are interested in expanding partnerships in the fields of energy and industry, textile industry, trade, and others.
