Iran's Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company sees increase in revenues

The revenues of the Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company of Iran increased by about 1,040 percent over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Managing Director of the company, Abdolkarim Pahlavani said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to Pahlavani, the company's revenues increased from 3.45 trillion rials (about $82.1 million) to 39.5 trillion rials (about $941 million).

He added that the company's liquid fuel consumption for production in the last Iranian year decreased by 9 percent, while ethane gas consumption increased by 734 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year.

The director noted that the company consumed 751,000 tons of liquid fuel and 133,000 tons of ethane gas last Iranian year.

Pahlavani stressed that of the company's revenues, 36.7 trillion rials (about $874 million) were distributed among shareholders, and the worth of each share amounted to 10,200 rials (about 24 cents).

Iran's Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company produced 1.41 million tons of products in the last Iranian year. The company's sales amounted to 963,000 tons.

Reportedly, the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company is located in the Petrochemical special economic zone at the Imam Khomeini port of Khuzestan province. The company annually produces 520 tons of ethylene, 300,000 tons of LDPE, 260,000 tons of LLDPE, 140,000 tons of HDPE, 154,000 tons of propylene, 134,000 tons of DPG, 104,000 tons of C4 Cut, 51,000 tons of Butadiene, 20,000 tons of butane, 1,500 tons of Pe-wax and other products.

Iran's Amir-Kabir Petrochemical Company sold about 158 trillion rials (about $3.75 billion) worth of products in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021). Of this, 74.7 trillion rials (about $1.78 billion) worth was accounted for domestic sales, while 82.8 trillion rials (about $1.97 billion) worth for exports.
