The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey has extended the license of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) for exploration of oil and gas deposits, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey told Trend.
As the ministry noted, on May 4, 2021, TPAO applied to the ministry to extend the license for another 10 years.
TPAO will conduct oil and gas exploration on an area of 1.104 hectares in Adiyaman province, the ministry said.
In April 2014, a law came into force in Turkey, allowing exploration for oil in forests and national parks.
