Iran's South Zagros Oil & Gas Production Company boosts gas transportation capacity

The gas transportation capacity of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company's Aghar-Dalan operating point has reached 2 million cubic meters daily, Executive Director of the company Abolhassan Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

According to him, this was achieved as a result of the construction of a new 7.6 km pipeline to transport gas from well No. 12 in the Dalan gas field. Previously, gas extracted from this well was transported to the Farashband gas absorption unit via a pipeline connected to Dalan Gas Collection Center No. 1.

Mohammadi added that as a result of this work, there will be an increase in gas production and transportation in the winter.

The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol and 2 oil fields - Saadatabad and Sarvestan in operation.

Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company extracted 1.09 million barrels of crude oil, 44 billion cubic meters of gas and 42 million cubic meters of gas condensate during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through February 19, 2021).

So, the company extracted 136 million cubic meters of gas, 5,920 barrels of oil and 42,000 barrels of gas condensate daily.
