Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company continues the process of domestic production of equipment in the oil and oil refining sectors, Deputy Director of the company Fardin Bahrampour said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Bahrampour noted that thus, 372 spare parts for refineries were produced domestically for the first time in Iran over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
The deputy director added that as a result, more than 293 billion rials (about $6.97 million) was saved.
"In addition, 6,790 types of equipment and spare parts for the oil and refining sectors were produced and used for the first time in the country by specialists of the Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and local manufacturers," he said.
Bahrampour emphasized that the company purchased more than 21,000 units of 9.47 million spare parts and equipment from local manufacturers in 6 years (from March 21, 2014 through March 19, 2020). As a result, 2.69 trillion rials (about $64.2 million) were saved.
According to him, preventing foreign currency outflowing from the country, ending the country's dependence on foreign sources, timely supply of spare parts for refineries, reducing operational risks in the production process, mastering technology in the oil sector, increasing employment via to support local companies, supporting startups in the design and production of equipment and spare parts, are one of the strategies of Bandar Abbas Oil Company to support domestic production.
As reported, the refinery of Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company processes 350,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate per day. In this regard, the company ranks third among Iranian oil companies. The company produces liquefied gas, gasoline, white oil, diesel, mazut, solvent 402, lube cut, sulfur, and other products.
