BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Marine Terminal (MT) of Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) loaded 5.2 million gross tons (41.6 million barrels) of crude oil in July 2021, which is an increase compared to 5.07 million gross tons (41.1 million barrels in June, Trend reports citing the CPC.

In the said month, the MT processed 50 tankers, thus during the first seven months of the current year, 340 vessel were loaded in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka.

Of 5.2 million tons lifted in July 2021, 2.3 million tons of crude were from Tengiz field, 904,285 tons from Karachaganak field, 1.2 million tons from Kashagan field and 16,050 tons from other Kazakh producers.

In July, the Kazakh producers shipped in total 4.5 million tons of crude oil, and 730,880 tons of lifted crude were received from the Russian territory. July lifting schedule was met in full.

From 2001 through to 31 July 2021, CPC Marine Terminal processed 6,987 tankers. During the said period, 740.1 million net tons of crude oil were delivered to the world markets via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk crude pipeline system.

Some 645.3 million tons of that crude came from Kazakhstan and 94.8 million tons of crude produced in Russia.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km.

This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
