Nominations for gas flows at TAP’s interconnections

Nominations for gas flows (entry) at Kipoi (Greece) interconnection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) stand at 278,338,301 kWh for Aug.16 and 29,000,000 kWh for Aug.17, Trend reports citing TAP’s electronic platform.

The volume of daily natural gas flows at Kipoi at the time of writing is 34,725,409 kWh.

As for Nea Mesimvria, the exit nominations for Aug.13 stood at 36,346,301 kWh, while the actual flows so far are equal to 4,525,705 kWh. No data is available for entry nominations.

At Malendugno, the exit nominations for Aug.16 amounted to 34,346,301 kWh, respectively, while physical flows stood at 4,551,265 kWh.

As the European section of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP has the capacity to transport approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas per annum (bcm/a) to several markets in Europe. The pipeline is also designed with the potential to expand its throughput capacity up to 20 bcm/a.

As a key part of the Southern Gas Corridor, TAP is strategically and economically important to Europe and essential in providing reliable access to a new source of natural gas. TAP plays a significant role in boosting Europe’s energy security, supply diversification, as well as decarbonisation objectives.

TAP’s shareholding is comprised of bp (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
