Azerbaijan has exported nearly four billion cubic meters of gas to Europe from January through July 2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
According to the ministry, a total of 10.4 billion cubic meters of gas has been exported by the country in the reporting period, which is a growth of 35 percent year on year.
Moreover, 5.2 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas were exported to Turkey.
Some 1.1 billion cubic meters of the gas were exported to Georgia, the report said.
Azerbaijani gas supplies to Turkey via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) reached 3.2 billion cubic meters.
In accordance with the report, 100 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported from Shah Deniz field up till now.
Azerbaijan exported almost 13.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020, which exceeds the same indicator of 2019 by 16 percent.
The gas production reached 37.1 billion cubic meters in Azerbaijan in 2020.
