Iran to launch new electricity generation power units

Iran will launch new power units generating more than 2,500 megawatt-hours of electricity by the summer of 2022, the Deputy Director of Thermal Power Plants Holding Company said Hamid Reza Azimi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Azimi noted that 17 power units will be built and launched generate this amount of electricity.

The deputy director also said that 13 power plants with a capacity to generate 10,500 megawatt-hours of electricity will be built by large companies operating in the mining industry in Iran. In this regard, 6 billion euro will be spent.

“The Thermal Power Plants Holding Company is ready to simplify the process of building power plants and assist in the construction of power plant units in the territory of companies, of which electricity consumption is high,” he added.
