Sales of Iran's Khorasan Petrochemical Company soar

The sales of Iran’s Khorasan Petrochemical Company increased 2.6 times during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of the company, Alireza Babazadeh said, Trend reports citing the company’s portal.

According to Babazadeh, the company's sales for the reporting period amounted to 14.5 trillion rials (about $345 million), while in the same period last Iranian year, this figure stood at 5.6 trillion rials (about $133 million).

“Furthermore, the company's urea production increased from 11,000 tons to 100,000 tons within the first five months of the current Iranian year,” he added.

Reportedly, Iran's Khorasan Petrochemical Company is located in the North Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran). The company can produce 495,000 tons of urea, 310,000 tons of ammonia and 20,000 tons of crystal melamine per year.
