BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 13

By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:

Uzbekenfteqaz authorities held negotiations with the German company ThyssenKrupp AG on issues of implementation of low-tonnage gas chemistry projects (projects with a production capacity of up to 50,000 tons), Trend reports citing Uzbeknefteqaz.

One of the priority tasks in Uzbekistan is the production of oil and gas chemical products with high added value with the rational use of extracted raw materials and manufactured semi-products.

In this regard, the specialists of the ThyssenKrupp AG company carefully familiarized themselves with the technologies available in Uzbeknefteqaz and their features. Within the framework of the projects, detailed information was provided on the licensed technology "Star" for the production of propylene and butylene from the liquefied gas feedstock. Information was provided on the differences and advantages of Star technology compared to alternative technologies.

In order to strengthen cooperation, the parties analyzed the relevant information and agreed to continue joint work on the implementation of future projects for low-tonnage gas chemistry.

It should be noted that small-scale projects are one of the main drivers of economic growth in Uzbekistan. The ongoing negotiations will serve as a factor influencing the growth of the export potential of the country through the implementation of promising projects that provide for the release of new types of petrochemical products that are in high demand in the future.

ThyssenKrupp AG is one of the leading industrial concerns in Germany and provides its services in more than 160 countries around the world. It has offices in more than 80 countries. The technology of industrial production enterprises has more than 100 licensed technologies, in particular for the petrochemical industry.
