Head of Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry Magzum Mirzagaliyev spoke about the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy sources at the government’s meeting, Trend reports referring to Kazinform.
“In the field of renewable energy sources 10 projects with a total capacity of 170 MW worth 87 billion tenge ($200 million) are underway,” Mirzagaliyev said.
According to him, nine wind power projects are being implemented in the East Kazakhstan, Almaty, and Kostanay regions, while one hydrothermal power project - in the Almaty region.
“Completion of all the projects is planned by the end of this year with the opening of 105 permanent jobs. The implementation of the above projects is under constant control, and the Energy Ministry will take all measures for their timely implementation,” he added.
