In order to reduce energy consumption, a solar power plant, photovoltaic panels, and solar water heaters have been installed at the Mubarek gas processing plant of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
In total, over the past years, 65,700 kWh of electricity have been saved at the plant's production facilities thanks to installations from renewable and alternative energy sources.
According to the press service, the plant intends to achieve energy savings of 10,800 kW per hour in 2021 by further improving energy efficiency and developing the introduction of renewable energy sources.
In particular, in 2021 Mubarek Gas Processing Plant repaired 40 technological units, 7 boilers, 31 tanks, 141,200 meters of electrical networks, 43 transformer substations, 850 meters of cable racks, and 150 meters of water supply networks.
Moreover, Mubarek Gas Processing Plant repaired 12 installations for the purification of natural gas from sulfur compounds, 6 low-temperature separation plants. Furthermore, routine maintenance was carried out at 3 stages of the propane-butane mixture extraction unit and on 4 gas-pumping units of the compressor station.
