The electricity generation of Iran's Bistoon Thermal Power Plant increased by 27 percent, in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to Mirza Asghari, the power plant generated 245 million kilowatt-hours of electricity during the reporting month and supplied 223 million kilowatt-hours to the Iran’s electricity network.
The director added that in total, the Bistoon TPP generated 2.16 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity over the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2021).
“The Bistoon Power Generation Management Company's share in the supply of electricity to the Iran’s electricity network is about 2 percent,” he said.
Reportedly, the power generation capacity of the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) is 640 megawatt-hours.
