The volume of water in Iran's dams decreased by 27 percent from the beginning of the current water year (September 23, 2021) to November 5, 2021, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Ministry of Energy of Iran.
According to the report, the volume of water in Iran's dams was 17.9 billion cubic meters within the mentioned.
At present, the capacity of Iran's dams is 50.5 billion cubic meters. It means that about 35 percent of Iran's dams are full.
“The inflow of water into the dams with natural precipitation for the reporting period amounted to 1.57 billion cubic meters, which is a decrease of 26 percent, compared to the same period previous year,” the report said.
According to the report, the water outflow from Iran's dams was 2.88 billion cubic meters until November 5. This is a decrease of 40 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
