BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov.8

By Leman Zeynalova - Trend:

SOCAR Turkey, subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, will increase the capacity of the STAR Refinery from the current 11 million tons per year to 13 million tons, Trend reports with reference to Turkish media.

The flexibility of the refinery’s units will make it possible to boost the capacity without making any changes in the production technology.

The project’s cost is 250,000 euros.

Star Refinery, with investment value of $6.3 billion came on stream in October 2018. Around $3.3 billion of the project’s cost was covered by loans. The total investment in Star Refinery is expected to stand at $7 billion.
