Turkey increases volume of crude oil import for 10M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 1

Trend:

Turkey increased oil imports from January through October 2021, the Turkish Energy Ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, this figure reached 25.4 million tons, up by 706,666 tons on annual basis.

In October this year, the country imported over 2.8 million tons of oil, which is 564,642 tons more compared to the same month of 2020.

Besides, according to the Turkish Energy Markets Regulatory Authority (EPDK), Turkey increased gas imports by 15 percent compared to September 2020 - up to 4.18 billion cubic meters, of which 3.6 billion cubic meters came from pipelines and 653 million cubic meters from LNG.

Gas imports through pipelines grew by 16.1 percent and LNG by nine percent compared to August last year.

Natural gas consumption in the country increased by 23.6 percent compared to September 2020 and reached four billion cubic meters.
