Tatneft to improve well flow rate in Turkmenistan’s oil fields

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17

By Amina Nazarli - Trend:

The state concern of Turkmenistan Turkmennebit will enter into an additional agreement with the Russian oil and gas company Tatneft for the provision of services aimed at increasing the flow rate of oil wells at the Goturdepe field, Trend reports citing Orient news.

The parties have already reached the necessary agreements to sign a new deal.

Earlier Tatneft specialists assisted oil workers from the Goturdepenebit department in extending the life of unrepaired oil wells by six times.

Back in 2020, Tatneft and Turkmennebit signed an additional agreement (on top of the MoU signed in 2018 to develop a partnership at the Turkmennebit fields) to continue work at the Goturdepe field until 2028.

The agreement aims to broaden cooperation between companies in the field of enhanced oil recovery. The work program includes the first, second, and third oilfields of Goturdepenebit as well as those where Tatneft implemented its technologies in the periods from 2011 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2020.

Tatneft has been cooperating with Turkmenistan since 2008.
