Some 187,000 tons of oil were transported from the Kazakh Aktau port in the direction of the Azerbaijani ports in 2021, the Aktau port told Trend on Jan. 19.
Around 6,000 tons of grain, 7,000 tons of metal were supplied. Some 234,000 tons accounted for other cargo, including containers, petroleum coke, chemical products, equipment, etc.
According to the port, 1,000 tons of metal were transported from Azerbaijan in the direction of the Aktau port, 98,000 tons accounted for other cargo in 2021.
Presently, there are three seaports in Kazakhstan, namely, Aktau, Bautino and Kuryk.
The Aktau Sea Port is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea at the intersection of several international transport corridors.
The Bautino port in the settlement of the same name is a division of Aktau International Sea Trade Port.
The Kuryk port is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, in the south of the Aktau port. It is able to receive ferry ships all year round.
