Iran unveils volume of electricity generated by Esfahan TPP

The Esfahan Thermal Power Plant in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) generated more than 2.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), head of the thermal power plant Abbas Karimi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.

Karimi noted that about 291 million kilowatt-hours of the electricity was generated in the 10th month (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), which is 36 percent more than in the same month last Iranian year.

Iran's Esfahan Thermal Power Plant is located on an area of about 74 hectares. The power plant has 5 units and can generate a total of 835 megawatt-hours of electricity.

The thermal power plant supplies about two-thirds of Isfahan Province’s electricity needs.
