Azerbaijan reveals petroleum coke, oil bitumen exports

Azerbaijan exported more than 280,876 tons of petroleum coke in 2021 worth $25.357 million, Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

The share of petroleum coke in the total volume of exports stood at 0.11 percent.

The country’s oil bitumen exports made up 187,527 tons worth $42.257 million, accounting for 0.19 percent of total exports in 2021.

Azerbaijan’s total crude oil and oil products’ exports stood at 27.116 million tons worth $13.219 billion in 2021.

In terms of import volume, Italy came in first with 12.581 million tons worth $6.064 billion, followed by Israel with 1.710 million tons worth $887.543 million and Croatia with 1.530 million tons worth $751.238 million.

Azerbaijan’s gas exports in 2021 stood at 20.046 billion cubic meters, as compared to 12.424 billion cubic meters in 2020, showing a 61.3 percent increase year-on-year.

In terms of value, the gas exports rose from $2.190 billion in 2020 to $5.534 billion in 2021, or by 2,5 times.

Gas exports accounted for 24.92 percent of the country’s total exports in 2021, versus 15.94 percent in 2020.
