Kazakhstan has extracted 115.6 million tons of coal over the period from January through December 2021, which is 2 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The report said that the volume of coal extracted in December 2021 stood at 11.9 million tons, which in turn is 4.4 percent more than in December 2020.
Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 85.6 million tons during the reporting period, which corresponds to the volume extracted during the same period of 2020. Kazakhstan’s December oil output was 7.9 million tons, which also is 11.9 percent more than during the same month of 2020.
Kazakhstan also extracted 54.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas during 2021 and 5.1 billion cubic meters in December, which is 2 percent less and 10 percent more year-on-year.
Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 2.6 million tons and 243,400 tons during the reporting period and December 2021 respectively, which is 15.8 percent more and 6.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020.
Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 586,800 tons over 12 months (up by 33.1 percent) and 46,400 tons in December 2021 (up by 5.2 percent), whereas diesel manufacturing equaled 4.9 million tons over 12 months (up by 6.8 percent) and 417,700 tons in December 2021 (up by 4.6 percent).
Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 1.1 million tons over 2021 with an annual decrease of 4.3 percent, whereas December output was 109,100 tons (up by 0.9 percent annual).
Electricity generation over 2021 equaled 114.8 billion kWh, which is 5.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020, whereas the volume of electricity generated in December 2021 amounted to 10.8 billion kWh, which is 5.6 percent less year-on-year.
The volume of thermal energy generated from January through December 2021 amounted to 87.4 million Gcal with an annual increase of 2.5 percent, whereas December 2021 output was 11.1 million Gcal, which is 15.9 percent less than in December 2020.
