BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. Natural gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 1.07 billion cubic meters in January 2022, which is 3.4 percent less than in January 2021 and 11.1 percent more than in December 2021, Trend reports citing the Kazakh Committee on Statistics.
According to the agency, Kazakhstan imported 902.2 million cubic meters of natural gas in January 2022, which is 30.8 percent less than in January 2021 and 11 percent more than in December 2021.
A total of 891.6 million cubic meters of this volume, were exported, which means a decrease in exports by 44.1 percent compared to January 2021 and by 31.2 percent compared to December 2021.
Some 1.08 million cubic meters of natural gas were sold on the local market of Kazakhstan in January 2022, which is 32.1 percent more than in January 2021 and 2.3 times more than in December 2021.
