BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. The electricity generation of Iran's Bistoon Thermal Power Plant increased by 11 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.

The director emphasized that, the power plant generated 3.65 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity last Iranian year.

“Meanwhile, in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), the Bistoon TPP generated 249 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is an increase of 40 percent, compared to the same month preceding Iranian year,” he added.

Mirza Asghari noted that of the total generated electricity in the 12th month of last Iranian year, 228 million kilowatt-hours were supplied to the Iran’s electricity network.

Reportedly, the power generation capacity of the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) is 640 megawatt-hours.
