BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. New 10 kV and 0.4 kV power lines with the length of 5.5 kilometers were set up and two transformer substations were installed from January through February 2022 in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), the State Statistics Committee of NAR told Trend.
According to the committee, work continues on the construction of substations with a voltage of 132/110/35/10 kV and 35/10 kV in the Julfa district and Khanagha village of the Ordubad district.
Besides, work is underway to install smart meters in Nakhchivan, Sharur and Babak cities.
"The construction of the Ordubad hydroelectric power station with an installed capacity of 36 MW and a hydroelectric power station with an installed capacity of 15.6 MW also continues in the Ordubad district,” the committee said.
“A solar power plant with an installed capacity of three MW is also being built in the Sharur district of the NAR," added the committee.
In 2021, power plants of NAR generated over 444.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
