Iran to launch news water dams

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. As many as 26 water dams will be launched in Iran, during the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

The minister noted that one new dam is planned to be launched in the country every 13 days.

Mehrabian also stressed that a number of projects have been developed in the country to improve water management and consumption since the current Iranian government came to power (August 2021).

“Several emergency plans related to water and sanitation will be implemented in the coastal and northern provinces of the country. These plans will help solve a number of problems in the country,” he added.

According to Mehrabian, during the current Iranian government (2021 through 2025), all villages in the country will be supplied with water. In this regard, work is underway to supply 16,000 villages with water.
