BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. The Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery intends to build new oil reservoirs, Deputy Managing Director of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Revamp Project Emil Alkhasli told Trend.
According to him, intensive repair and construction work is currently underway within the modernization and renovation project of the oil refinery.
"Furthermore, it is scheduled to replace expired oil tanks (a volume of 20,000 tons) with new ones. After commissioning of latest water purification equipment in the first half of 2022, the refinery plans to completely disable the old one and build storage tanks for various fuel types in its place," Alkhasli stated.
Repair and construction work at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery is being conducted. It's also planned to build a number of new facilities, which will allow starting gasoline and diesel fuel production of the EURO-5 standard, as well as hydrogen manufacturing.
