BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. The Iranian Oil Ministry will launch the implementation of 40 new projects worth $30 billion in the country's oil, gas and petrochemical sectors, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji told reporters, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

He made the remark at the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran on May 16, 2022.

The minister noted that under the projects, Iran will use the opportunities of local companies to provide needed equipment.

Owji also added that the Iranian Oil Ministry has prepared a number of programs to support local companies in various technical and engineering fields.

He also pointed out that the exhibition in Tehran showed that Iranian manufacturers and companies have got considerable potential in recent years. In this regard, Iranian companies can provide oil, gas and petrochemical services in other countries.

“More than 1,200 local and foreign companies participated in the exhibition in Tehran, and many contracts and memorandums of understanding were signed within the exhibition,” Owji said.

On May 14, 2022, the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition opened in Tehran and will end on May 16.
