TEHRAN, Iran, May 21. The bitumen production factory of Urmiah refinery complex has opened by the Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The bitumen production factory of Urmia Refinery will meet the major needs of road construction projects," Seyed Mohsen Hamzehloo the director of the Road and Urban Development Organisation of West Azerbaijan Province said.
With a new factory, Iran’s annual bitumen production is expected to increase to 300,000 tons.
