Iran and Oman agree on joint development of shared oilfield

TEHRAN, Iran, May 24. Iran and Oman have agreed to expand energy ties - to jointly develop the shared Hengam joint oilfield, export of technical services and petrochemical products, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji has reached an agreement on the matter with Omani officials.

Joint development of the shared Hengam joint oilfield is an important part of the agreement to reduce production costs and maximize oil and gas output for both countries.

The second part of the agreement includes export of technical and engineering services from Iran to oil upstream and downstream sectors.

The two sides have also agreed to participate in trading petrochemical and oil products.
