BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. The 11th gas refinery of Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) produces 50 million cubic meters of gas per day, as of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Director of 11th Refinery Mohammad Saeedian told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

"Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), the refinery’s gas production was 45 million cubic meters per day," the director said.

Saeedian added that at present, the 11th refinery process gas from 4 platforms in the South Pars gas field. Gas from another platform of South Pars gas field will soon be transferred to the 11th refinery and processed there.

The 11th refinery of Iran's South Pars Gas Company can produce 50 million cubic meters of sweet gas, 80,000 barrels of gas condensate, 2,900 tons of LPG gas, 2,750 tons of ethane, 400 tons of sulfur per day.

The South Pars gas field (called North Dome in Qatar) is a joint gas field of Iran and Qatar. The proven reserves of the South Pars Gas Field are estimated at 51 trillion cubic meters of gas, of which 36 trillion are extractable. Iran's share in the field is 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate.
