BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. First Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev met with Sales Director for Eastern Europe and the CIS of Vestas [Danish global wind turbine manufacturer] Igor Nus, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry.
An information was provided on favorable business environment in Azerbaijan, economic potential of country’s liberated territories, and the possibilities for further expanding partnerships in the sphere of management and efficient use of natural resources, alternative and renewable energy were discussed at the meeting.
The sides also exchanged views on the effective use of Azerbaijan's potential in the sphere of wind energy and investment opportunities, organizing the production of wind turbine components.
Danish company Vestas has implemented projects in the sphere of wind energy, alternative and renewable energy, development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions in 85 countries.
According to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee, trade with Denmark exceeded $6.2 million from January through May 2022, while this figure amounted to $13.01 million in the same period last year (a decrease of 52.3 percent over the year).
