Türkiye reduces crude oil imports from Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. Türkiye has imported a total of 234,173 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan in April 2022, which accounted for 5.95 percent of total Türkiye’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Türkiye’s import of Kazakh crude oil decreased by 60 percent compared to March 2022 (585,644 tons) and went down by 23.3 percent compared to the volume imported in March 2021 (305,409 tons).

Türkiye’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through March 2022 amounted to 1.8 million tons.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $2.06 billion over the period from January through April 2022, compared to $1.08 billion during the same months of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Türkiye amounted to $1.7 billion over the period from January through April 2022, compared to $730.2 million during the same period of 2021.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Türkiye amounted to nearly $359.1 million over the reporting period, compared to $358.6 million during the same period of 2021.
