BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug.4. During the first half of 2022, the daily average export throughput of the SCP was 56.9 million cubic metres of gas per day, as compared to 46.51 million cubic metres, showing a 22.3 percent increase.

In the first half of 2022, the SCP spent around $29 million in operating expenditure and around $2 million in capital expenditure in total, compared to $27 million in operating expenditure and around $11 million in capital expenditure in H1 2021. As such, the opex on SCP rose by 7.4 percent, while the capex dropped by 81.8 percent.

The SCP has been operational since late 2006, transporting Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye. The expanded section of the pipeline commenced commercial deliveries to Türkiye in June 2018 and to Europe in December 2020.

SCPC shareholders are: bp (29.99%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19.00%), SOCAR (14.35%), NICO (10.00%) and SGC (6.67%).
