SOFAZ's revenues from sale of oil and gas significantly increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan August 8. The revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from the sale of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field's crude oil amounted to $5.683 billion from January through July 2022, SOFAZ told Trend.

The revenues have increased by $2.778 billion compared to the same period in 2021.

Furthermore, the revenues from the sale of the Shah Deniz field's condensate in 2021 made up $1.072 billion, including $252.725 million from the sale of condensate. SOFAZ's revenues from the sale of the same field increased by 14.1 times compared to the same period last year, and condensate by 4.4 times, or by $195.594 million.

The funds to the SOFAZ budget from the sale of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) exceeded the forecasted amount by 98.9 percent. The profit from the sale of condensate from the Shah Deniz field amounted to $302.8 million, and natural gas $581.9 million.

In 2021, more than $6.996 billion was attracted to the SOFAZ budget from the sale of oil and gas resources in 2021.
