Electricity supply to Iran's industrial parks to be increased

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Iran is estimated to supply an additional 3,000 megawatt-hours of electricity per day to the country's industrial parks by the end of the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

According to Rasoulian, in this regard, 80 trillion rials (about $1.9 billion) will be allocated in order to establish necessary infrastructures in industrial parks in the coming months.

The deputy minister also added that a number of problems arose in the supply of electricity to industrial parks over last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022). Iranian Energy Ministry is taking steps to eliminate these problems.

“Within last Iranian year, 60 electric substations were built in Iran’s industrial parks with the cooperation of the Energy Ministry. So far, a total of 90 substations have been built in the country’s industrial parks to supply 1,700 megawatt hours of electricity,” he said.
