BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The 3rd, 4th and 5th gas units of the combined cycle power plant located on the territory of Iran Liquefied Natural Gas Company in Iran’s Bushehr Province, were put into operation, with the joint investment of $360 million by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and the Oil Industry Pension Fund, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oil Industry Pension Fund Abdolhossein Bayat said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.

He made the remark at the event dedicated to the launch of new gas-fired units of the mentioned station.

According to Bayat, the total power generation capacity of 3 gas units is 486 megawatt-hours.

“The electricity to be generated by the 5 gas units of the mentioned combined cycle power plant, with the total generation capacity of 810 megawatt-hours, will be delivered to Iran South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) and other companies, until the complex of Iran Liquefied Natural Gas Company is put into use,” he added.

The chairman noted that if this station is fully operational, its power generation will reach 1,130 megawatt-hours.

Bayat also pointed out that a 400-kilovolt substation was built and put into use by Iran's MAPNA Group for the purpose to transmit the electricity generated by the station.

The combined cycle power plant of Iran Liquefied Natural Gas Company has 5 gas units with the generation capacity of 162 megawatt-hours each. Also, it is planned to build 2 new steam units, with the generation capacity of 160 megawatt-hours each.
