BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. The electricity generation of Iran's Bistoon Thermal Power Plant increased by 10 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
In 6 months, the thermal power plant generated 2.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, Mirza Asghari noted.
“Meanwhile, in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2022), the Bistoon TPP generated over 376 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is an increase of 3 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he added.
According to the director, of the total generated electricity in the 6th month, 344 million kilowatt-hours were supplied to Iran’s electricity network.
The power generation capacity of the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) is 640 megawatt-hours.
