TEHRAN, Iran, September 30. Iran’s thermal power plants have raised production capacity in the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022) following overhaul, said deputy of the Thermal Power Plants Holding Company Nasser Eskandari, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The country’s power plants have a 98-percent readiness to produce electricity during the consumption peak in the summer, he noted.
The overhaul of thermal power plants started in October 2021 and was completed in July 2022, he said adding that one of the major issues in the process was lack of necessary spare parts.
According to the official, domestic producers could not manufacture all necessary parts for repairing thermal power plants, however the overhaul plan for thermal power plants was completed on time.
