BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. All mechanical repair work to resume oil production at Kazakhstan's Kashagan field has been completed, Trend reports referring to National Company "KazMunayGas" (KMG) JSC.

This was revealed during the visit by Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas" Magzum Mirzagaliyev to the oil field.

The Managing Director of the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) Olivier Lazare reported on the current repair activities at the unit of the Bolashak oil and gas processing plant.

As of today, all mechanical repairs to resume the field's oil production have wrapped up, and the unit is expected to be commissioned within a few days.

On August 3, the Bolashak Processing Plant was shut down due to the detection of signs of a natural gas leak. As of August 9, the plant partially restored output at 100,000 barrels per day, while on September 30, production of 210,000 barrels was already resumed.
