Iran eyes power export to Europe

TEHRAN, Iran, November 10. Iran is eyeing power export via Turkiye to Bulgaria and eastern Europe, said member of Iranian Chamber of Commerce Hamidreza Salehi, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"Iran can connect to Turkiye’s power network to export electricity to Europe," he said adding that Iran can also connect its power transmission lines to Georgia and Azerbaijan to export electricity to Europe via a submarine cable.

He underlined the possibility of Iran exporting power from the Black Sea to Romania and furthermore to Eastern Europe.
