Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company eyes to increase gasoline production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. The gasoline production of Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) is expected to double in the next 3 years (by March 20, 2026), Executive Director of the EORC, Mohsen Ghaderi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He made the remark at an event dedicated to the signing of a contract with Iran's Energy Tarabar Management Company on the transportation of oil products on January 21, 2023.

Ghaderi noted that thus, the company's daily gasoline production in accordance with the Euro 5 standard will amount to 31 million liters.

The director also added that the company's daily diesel production in accordance with the Euro 5 standard will increase to 40 million liters.

“In addition, 2 million liters of octane afra product will be produced at the company per day,” he said.

According to Ghaderi, about 400 projects will be implemented by the company in order to reach increase in production.

Commenting on the contract signed today, the director pointed out that Esfahan Oil Refining Company will generate $30-$50 million a year under the contract.

On January 21, 2023, a contract was signed between Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Iran's Energy Tarabar Management Company.

Within the contract, 2.2 million tons of oil products of Esfahan Oil Refining Company will be transported through railways in the next 3 years.

Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) was established in 1979. The company can process about 375,000 barrels of crude oil per day. At present, the company supplies about 25 percent of the country's fuel needs.

Also, the company produces 12 million liters of gasoline and approximately 20 million liters of diesel per day in accordance with the Euro 5 standards.
