BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Italy, Türkiye, and Georgia became the main importers of Azerbaijani gas in 2022, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.
According to the statistics, Türkiye has imported 6.853 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas over the reporting period, which is 30.4 percent less than in 2021.
Italy's imports of gas from Azerbaijan totaled 8.21 billion cubic meters - an increase of 34.3 percent year-on-year.
However, Azerbaijan's gas supplies to Georgia declined by 10.43 percent to 2.58 billion cubic meters in 2022.
The rest of the list goes as follows:
Bulgaria – 366.689 million cubic meters (up by 57.7 percent);
Greece – 779.336 million cubic meters (up by 6.4 percent);
Iran - 173.594 million cubic meters (down by 27.3 percent).
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's gas exports in 2022 amounted to 20.046 billion cubic meters.
