BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17. The Turkish ports handled over 21.2 million tons of oil products from January through March 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
During this period, the vessels flying the Turkish flag transported 1.049 million tons of oil products, while the ships flying the flags of other countries carried 20.15 million tons.
In addition, a total of 11.9 million tons of oil products were transited through the Turkish ports in the reporting period.
Overall, the Turkish ports received 91.5 million tons of cargo from January through March 2023.
In the reporting period, the ships flying the Turkish flag carried 6.4 million tons of cargo, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries transported 85.08 million tons.
Meanwhile, the Turkish ports totally handled 18.3 million tons of transit cargo.
