BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. The production of Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company increased by 9.5 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to the report, the company produced about 1.22 million tons of various petrochemical products within the last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the preceding year, the company’s petrochemical production amounted to over 1.1 million tons.
In addition, the Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company sold 665,000 tons of various products in the last Iranian year, which means that the company fulfilled its sales plan by 87 percent.
Iran’s Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company launched its activity in Bandar Imam Special Economic Zone in the area covering 34 hectares in 1998. The Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company produces PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) products.
On average, the company produces more than 1.6 million tons of products a year, and the value of the company's annual production is estimated at more than $800 million. The company operates under the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company of Iran.
