BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Turkmenistan sold a batch of liquefied gas and polypropylene to businessmen from Afghanistan through its commodity exchange, Trend reports.
Turkmenistan sold a total of 2,000 tons of liquefied natural gas to businessmen from Afghanistan, the cost of which was estimated at $374 per ton. The total amount of transactions for the sale of liquefied gas amounted to $748,000.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan also sold 1,000 tons of polypropylene to entrepreneurs from Afghanistan for a total of $1 million ($1,036 per ton).
Meanwhile, in Turkmenistan as a whole, the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was exceeded by 12.7 percent in 2022, and the plan for the production of liquefied gas - by 5.1 percent.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
