BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Uzbekistan has modernized the automatic process control system and emergency protection system, as well as planned major repairs at the Bukhara Oil Refinery, Trend reports.
The modernization carried out at the plant meets the instructions set out in the decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on additional measures to accelerate the renewal of physically worn-out and obsolete equipment, as well as to reduce production costs of industrial enterprises.
The main goal of the modernization was to improve the reliability and stability of the automated control system.
As part of the modernization, the planned overhaul was also carried out in order to improve the safety and reliability of equipment, improve product quality and ensure uninterrupted production.
Uzbekistan has significant oil reserves and is one of the leading producers and exporters of petroleum products in Central Asia. The country has a developed oil refining industry, the main enterprise of which is the Bukhara Oil Refinery.
Bukhara Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Uzbekistan. It specializes in the processing of crude oil and the production of various petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, fuel oil and others.
