BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. The value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) increased by 101 percent, during the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2023), compared to the 2nd month (April 21 through May 21, 2023), Trend reports.
The value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to approximately 116 trillion rials (about $280 million) in the 3rd month.
Meanwhile, the figures stood at 59.2 trillion rials (about $139 million) in the 2nd month.
More than 562,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth approximately 103 trillion rials (about $249 million) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange within the 3rd month, which accounts for 90 percent of total sales at the IRENEX.
Of this, 34.6 trillion rials (about $83.8 million) worth of hydrocarbon products were sold on the domestic floor, while 68.1 trillion rials (about $165 million) worth - on the international floor of the IRENEX.
The main products sold at the country’s energy exchange for the reporting month were iso recycle, naphtha, gas condensate, methanol, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and etc.
Within the 3rd month, 546 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth about 1.88 trillion rials (about $4.55 million) were sold at the IRENEX.
At the same time, Standard Parallel Salaf (Islamic contract, similar to futures) documents worth 10.4 trillion rials (about $25 million) were also sold at the energy exchange for the 3rd month.
Moreover, 31,400 certificates of deposit for heavy crude oil and gas condensate worth approximately 762 billion rials (about $1.84 million) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange during the 3rd month.
Meanwhile, the value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to 255 trillion rials (about $618 million), during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023).
The products at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) are sold under the SANA exchange rate.
The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange offices, where the price of 1 euro is 455,379 rials, and the price of $1 is 425,067 rials.
